MY APPROACH

As a licensed clinical social worker, I focus on creating a space where my clients feel truly seen and understood. My approach is person-centered, meaning that I adapt each session to meet the unique needs and goals of every individual. I specialize in trauma and addiction, drawing on modalities like inner child work, internal family systems, and body work to guide the healing process.

I believe in two key approaches to therapy: the surface-level, or “Band-Aid,” approach, and the deeper, “root-level” approach. The Band-Aid approach addresses immediate concerns—whether it’s managing anxiety, depression, or a difficult life situation—allowing clients to quickly find relief and healing in the moment. While this can be necessary and effective, I often find that real, lasting change requires deeper work. My “root-level” approach involves looking beyond surface symptoms to the core causes of pain, trauma, and emotional distress. This method can be more intensive and at times challenging, as it requires opening up old wounds and exploring parts of the self that have long been buried. However, it is through this deeper work that true healing occurs—healing that isn’t just temporary, but transformative. I help clients get to the core of their issues, facilitating long-term change so they don’t have to revisit the same wounds over and over.

By tailoring my methods to each client’s unique experiences and personality, I ensure that the therapy process aligns with their pace and needs. Whether we’re addressing short-term goals or diving deep into emotional healing, I’m here to support you every step of the way.
